![]() Full moon is very bright and you can easily walk around without a torch, and new moon is very dark, to the degree of not being able to see your feet dark. What we mean by this is that the phase of the moon changes how much light there is at night time. Something that we’ve noticed, that has really surprised us is that the darkest nights aren’t always the best. Have you wondered when the best time to go star gazing is? We don’t think there is a definitive answer to this question, aside from the obvious, at night time when there aren’t so many clouds in the sky. Our vehicles are certified to carry passengers, insured in all the correct ways and of course we have our current passenger endorsements on our drivers licenses. Our DOC concessions allow us access to many mind blowing vistas relatively close together, when you know where to go.Īs we mentioned, we drive Land Rovers. We can either spend longer looking through the telescope, or we can visit a different location to capture some different photographs. We’ll also make sure that we capture some wide field photographs of you under the heavens to make the most amazing souvenir. We will also put our astrophotography skills to great use for you. Then we can go on a search for other nebulae and galaxies. What appears to be a relatively bright star turns out to be Jupiter, which on a good clear night shows off it’s red hues and moons. Our 8” Dobsonian telescope will allow you to see so much more. If you want to get a little closer then our binoculars offer stunning viewing of the Moon and the Large and Small Magellanic Clouds, for example. Using a licensed laser pointer we can help identify celestial bodies, many of which are just incredible to view with your naked eye.
